Joyce hails from the tropical island-city of Singapore, where she spends the perennially sunny days writing novels and short stories. Since graduating with a degree in English from the National University of Singapore, she has worked as a lifestyle journalist, content manager at a fashion e-commerce retailer, copywriter and a sub-editor.
Her first book, LAMBS FOR DINNER (Straits Times Press, 2013) is a YA contemporary novel that won the nationwide novel-writing competition organised by the National Arts Council.
Her latest book, LAND OF SAND AND SONG (Penguin Random House SEA, 2021) is the first of an Asian-inspired fantasy.

Her short stories are published at Muse in Pocket, Pen in Hand, and here at her blog she rants and raves about books, writing, and TV shows in between writing her next novel.
